Are they safe to use?

There has been an increase in use of body building supplements and dietary supplements over the last few years – BUT, are they safe to use?
Remember that Body building and Dietary supplements are not approved or monitored by the FDA or any other government body.  No one verifies what is in these products – giving the manufacturer freedom to decide what they put in these supplements. (For example – undeclared ingredients)

In recent years there has been an increase of issues from using body building and dietary supplements.  One recent issue is Acute Hepatitis and Liver Failure following the use of a dietary supplement intended for Weight loss or Muscle Building.

Another recent case involving a “Muscle Growth Product” has shown it has undeclared ingredients – one of which is a synthetic anabolic steroid.  This steroid causes adverse effects on blood lipid levels, increased risk of heart attack and stroke, infertility in males, masculinization of women, shrinkage of the testicles, and liver damage.
