Marleny Rodriguez is an intern and doctoral student, currently enrolled in her sixth year in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at Immaculata University. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from La Salle University and her master’s degree in clinical psychology at Immaculata University. Marleny has worked in various settings during her training, including a substance use recovery health clinic, an inpatient hospital, a private practice, and a college counseling center. Marleny considers herself a client-centered therapist but also utilizes interventions from other theoretical frameworks, such as CBT and psychoanalytic theory. Marleny prioritizes creating a safe space for her clients, so they feel more comfortable sharing their story. Her therapeutic style is also very collaborative, so she and her clients can work together to help them move toward change. In her pastime, Marleny enjoys reading novels, listening to music, and going on walks.
