My Approach to Treatment
I work with patients with a very wide range of issues, including those who are depressed, anxious, struggling with past trauma and current stressors, those with body image concerns, relationship and communication issues, and those simply – or not so simply — wanting to understand themselves better. People often feel held back from making changes or achieving their goals or desires, and may even struggle with identifying what those goals are. I find that increasing an awareness of the role of one’s history and patterns of experience and behavior in relationships are especially helpful in understanding oneself and enabling one to come up with solutions to the difficulties they face. My hope is to create a place where you can feel safe and express yourself freely and openly, learn to better face challenges, and come to feel greater satisfaction and fulfillment.
