My approach to therapy

Harsimran Kaur Wadhwa believes in therapy that could create a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment where students feel safe to express their fears and explore their experiences. She utilizes CBT to address and modify the negative thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors resulting from varied problems, including trauma or other stress-related issues. Harsimran also incorporates Irvin D. Yalom’s existential insights and psychodynamic principles to assist students in rediscovering their sense of purpose and meaning, resulting in deeper personal growth.  In therapy with her, students reflect on their experiences and how these shape their beliefs about life, relationships, connection, their sense of self, and their views on life’s larger questions. She is dedicated to helping students with managing symptoms, finding meaning, and fostering personal growth and resilience.
