Cecelia Kane, DNP, MSN, FNP-C, Acting Associate Director, Medical Services
Cecelia is a family nurse practitioner, certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received a BA in Politics from NYU, BSN from Widener University, MSN from Rutgers University, and a Post Master’s Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate from University of Texas at Arlington, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Rutgers University Camden. She is a military veteran who served as a LT 2nd Class in the US Public Health Service. A few areas of interest for Cecelia are health and wellness, disparities and inequities in healthcare and education, young adult and minority health, mentoring new nurses and ministry. She serves as a board member for Region 5 New Jersey State Nurses Association, co-chair of the Rutgers University Camden School of Nursing Alumni Association, and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, and New Jersey College Health Association. Last, but not least, she is the mother of 3 and the grandmother of 7.
Wayne Shaw, MD
Hi, my name is Wayne Shaw. I am an internal medicine doctor. I attended Morehouse School of Medicine for medical school. I did my residency in Internal medicine and pediatrics at UMDNJ. I enjoy working with people of all ages. I hope I can be of assistance to you.
Karen L. Kramer MSN, RN, APN, WHNP-BC
Advanced Practice Nurse, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified
Karen was raised in New Jersey and graduated from Shawnee High School in Medford. She earned her Diploma in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, graduating magna cum laude. Karen began her career as a staff nurse in obstetrical-neonatal nursing at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) in 1981 and was employed there for 9 years, rising up the clinical ladder to a Level III position. She also briefly worked as an on-call nurse for The Birth Center in Bryn Mawr, PA, assisting the midwives and caring for the families giving birth there. Karen completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. She began her career as a Nurse Practitioner in 1991 at Rutgers University Camden in the Student Wellness Center, specializing in women’s health care, gender affirming, and primary care. Karen is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is board certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She is certified in CPR and Naloxone administration. Karen is also a musician and is a member of the South Jersey Acoustic Roots Music Society.
Shannon Nolan, DNP, APN-C, Family Nurse Practitioner
Shannon Nolan is a certified family nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She obtained her BSN degree from MCP Hahnemann University, an MSN from Wilmington University, and completed her DNP in 2018 from Rutgers Camden. She has been a nurse practitioner with the Rutgers University-Camden Student Wellness Center for 12 years. Prior to Rutgers, she has experience working in orthopedics and urgent care as a nurse practitioner. As an RN, she has 10 years’ experience in telemetry and emergency room nursing. Her professional interests include sports medicine, primary care, health promotion, and education.
Kimberley Kavanaugh, RN BSN, Registered Nurse
Kimberley Kavanaugh obtained her Diploma in Nursing from Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing School and her Associate in Science degree from Camden County College in 1985. She received her BSN degree from the University of Delaware in 2001. She has been a Registered Nurse with the Rutgers University-Camden Student Wellness Center for 12 years. Prior to Rutgers, she has experience working in inpatient dialysis, oncology, occupational health, home care, pediatrics, SDS/chemicals, AIDS patients, respiratory conditions, hearing conservation, emergency response team, school nursing, nurse case management. Kim is certified in Spirometry testing, Naloxone administration, and she is a certified CPR instructor. She is a member of NJCHA. Her professional interests include Occupational Health, primary care, health promotion, disabilities, and education.
Raymond Nwaneri Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Raymond is not a physician. He is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, double Board Certified as an adult and gerontology primary care nurse practitioner, and a family psychiatric nurse practitioner. He also holds a Master’s Certificate in psychopharmacology. He is a thoroughbred and consummate professional clinician with robust clinical exposures and experiences in children, adolescents, adults and geriatric psychiatry and primary healthcare, held adjunct clinical faculty positions at Temple University Philadelphia, where he taught and mentored undergraduate nursing students, and at Wilkes University where he taught and mentored graduate psychiatric nurse practitioner students before venturing into full-time practice. He maintains active Allied Medical credentials at Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia, where he supports the physician group in treatment of individuals with acute/chronic health conditions living with all kinds of mental and behavioral health challenges. He is a highly sought-after clinical resource person.
He was one of the few NP providers that carried an X license to treat Addiction and Substance disorders before the friendly update by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). He participates in the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. His experience, training, and exposure cuts across different clinical settings including but not limited to inpatient, outpatient, substance abuse and addiction, community mental health, college and student mental health, correctional mental health, hospital, skilled/rehab nursing home, group home, residential homes and educational psychiatry. He continues to treat various mental health challenges including but not limited to depression, Bipolar, Anxiety, Insomnia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD), Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorders, ADHD, and dementia spectrum, which encompasses frontotemporal, Lewy body, vascular, Alzheimer disease and behavioral disturbances associated with dementia as evidence by agitation and aggressiveness with care and caregivers, wandering, restlessness, accusatory, sundowning, weight loss due to changes in eating habits, delusions and hallucinations, etc.
In addition to his robust certifications and degrees in healthcare, Dr. Raymond Nwaneri is a graduate of the Executive Presence and Influence: Persuasive Leadership development program of the Wharton Business School Executive Education, University of Pennsylvania. He also has under his belt a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science in Economics, (M.Sc), and a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, (B.Sc). He holds active membership in the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is married with kids and has a passion for disseminating knowledge.
